The Town of James Island History Council will meet on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the James Island Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road. This will be an in-person meeting. Social distancing will be adhered and face coverings are required. The meeting's agenda is posted here 

 

Upcoming Events: Town Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.

Notice of Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearing 

 The following cases will be heard by the Town of James Island Board of Zoning Appeals at their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. in person at Town Hall, 1122 Dills Bluff Road, James island, SC and via Zoom, a virtual meeting platform. The meeting will also be live streamed to the Town's YouTube channel. Please email comments to kcrane@jamesislandsc.us planning@jamesislandsc.us referencing the Case #. Emailed comments should be received by noon on Tuesday, September 15th. Comments will also be heard during the Public Comments section of the meeting at Town Hall in-person with social distancing in-place, and via Zoom. The full packet will be available to the public via the Town's website at www.jamesislandsc.us before the hearing. Please direct any questions to Town Planning Staff at 843-795-4141.

Way to go James Island! The Town of James Island ranks 1st in Census reporting for the Tri-County region and 3rd in the state at a 74% response rate - higher than the National average of 64%. There's still time to get counted! The 2020 Census will determine congressional representation, inform hundreds of billions in federal funding every year, and provide data that will impact communities for the next decade.
