An important message from Dominion:

Nearly 206,000 DESC customers were impacted by Hurricane Dorian. Crews in the field began working to restore customers around 3:30pm yesterday, once it was safe to begin that work. As of 9:30pm last night, around 120,000 customers remained without power, the majority of which are in Charleston County. There are more than 2,800 employees, contract crew members, and off-system crews supporting our storm restoration efforts. Crews worked through the night, and they will continue to work around the clock until the last customer is restored.

As we move forward with the restoration process after this significant weather event, we appreciate our customers’ patience as we work to repair their service. We expect to provide county-level estimated times of restoration by mid-morning today.

Current regional outage numbers are as follows:

Berkeley County: 4,397
Charleston County: 88,914
Colleton County: 4,119
Dorchester County: 14,090

Two important reminders:

Report outages – please don’t assume we know you are without power.
The quickest way to report a power outage is to report it online at dominionenergysc.com/report using a mobile device.
Customers may also report outages by phone at 888-333-4465.
Stay away from downed power lines and report them to 888-333-4465. Assume they are energized and dangerous, and keep family, neighbors and pets a minimum of 30 feet away.
