The Town of James Island is busy preparing for the storm season, and we hope you are as well!

Not sure what you should be doing to prepare yourself and your home? Visit FEMA’s website for  Citizen Preparedness: http://www.ready.gov/

One of the most important things to remember during and after a storm is the need to separate yard debris. It’s critically important to separate yard debris from household debris and will make the clean-up of our island go much more smoothly. Remember – this is NOT the time to clean out your garage!

Also, as we prepare for Hurricane Season during the current COVID environment, there will be some changes to how the Town issues sandbags. Anticipate being required to wear a mask, bring your own shovel, and expect more delays as social-distancing measures will be put into place.
