The James Island Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on an Ordinance Amending the Town of James Island Zoning and Land Development Regulations by adding a new section on a Temporary Moratorium on accepting and processing zoning permits until November 5, 2017 on residential development greater than four (4) units per acre and other developments greater than 1500 square feet in nonresidential zones, except for redevelopment of an already improved parcel consistent with the Folly Road Overlay District.
The Council will also hear comments on a proposed change to the Town of James Island Zoning and Land Development Regulations Ordinance, including a change adding setbacks for accessory structures in commercially zoned districts
The Public Hearings will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 1238-B Camp Road, James Island, SC (843) 795-4141. Copies of the proposed ordinance are available for the public to review Monday-Friday during normal business hours.
