The Fort Johnson Road/Camp Road Roundabout project is a Charleston County 1/2 cent sales tax safety project that is partially within the jurisdiction of the Town of James Island and partially within that of the City of Charleston.

The project requires the removal of two grand oak trees in the SCDOT right-of-way. Here is a report submitted by Charleston County in January of 2023.

The Town's Board of Zoning Appeals approved removing the two trees in January 2023.
