This program is set to roll out in the spring of 2023 and is part of the Adopt A Stream program through Clemson Extension. The Town will be hosting training for "citizen scientists" who will collect water samples around James Island and perform simple tests to determine how clean the water is, then enter that data into a Clemson Extension database. From this testing agencies will be able to determine if there is any pollution getting into our water and if so, come up with a plan to control pollution. Working together we can make a difference, so contact the Public Works Department to see how you can participate.
